Not enough sleep meant extra melt downs and a lot of moodiness.
I was losing patience.
We needed a change of pace. I headed straight to Provo Beach Resort. We ate lunch, rode the carousel, played some arcade games, and took these pictures:
For some reason when those photo strips poped out of the machine my mother-heart swelled with love; love for those two little boys that are mine. That love filled me with a little more patience and a little more determination to push through the day.
Being a mother to young children can be so hard. Bedtime is hard, getting everyone out the door is quite an adventure, and there is a constant mess, but, it's okay.
It won't last forever. My boys will grow up and they wont sit in my lap for meals or want me to tuck them in at night.
I know I'm going to miss the funny toddler things they say. Like when out of nowhere Eli jumps off the couch spins around and says, "Flynn Ryder says, 'You broke my smolder.'" Then jumps right back on the couch to keep reading our book.
However, remembering all that doesn't take the challenge away. That's why I'm grateful for moments like the photo booth w
